Gallia County Local Schools provides staff members and students in grades K-12 with numerous technology tools to enhance their learning experience.
All students have access to computers with Internet access in their classrooms as well as computer labs located in each building within the district. Gallia County Local Schools now boasts well over 1,200 computers for student use. The fall of 2009 saw students in every building gain access to wireless technology with the integration of portable laptop computers in carts, or COWS (computers on wheels). Staff members have the ability to move these portable laptops from classroom to classroom and enhancing students' access to internet-based programs. The fall of 2012 will see students gaining access to wireless tablets and eReaders in our elementary and middle school libraries.

Students in grades K-8 are receiving grade cards that reflect the district's and state's academic content standards for the respective subjects.
StandardsScore has enabled teachers and parents to more effectively track the academic progress of our K-8 student population.
A new student information software product was introduced to staff members in August of 2012.
Infinite Campus will provide staff members with a student software package that will enable them to become more informed of student information, medical issues, and overall demographic information.
Infinite Campus Parent Portal will also be the means in which parents of students in grades 9-12 will be able to access student grades in real time.
In an effort to assist students with their math and reading proficiency, GCLS provides students with access to Headsprout (grades K-3), Scholastic Reading Counts or Accelerated Reader (grades K-8), Reading Eggs (grades K-3) Read 180 (grades K-12). and System 44 (grades 3-12).
